Speaking at the opening ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of TienPhong Newspaper Mr. Le Xuan Son, co-head of the Championship emphasized: The National Golf Championship 2022 has the largest organization scale ever, including all members of Vietnam golf team. The Championship contributes to selecting the best players to attend the 31st SEA Games, training young talents and developing Vietnam golf.

Due to a number of athletes infected with COVID-19, the Championship has 138 athletes competing for 4 rounds on the Marsh course of Vinpearl Golf HaiPhong, with 18 holes of par 72, the length of 7,508 yards, designed with high difficulty from the natural marshy terrain, making the championship interesting and fascinating.
