On January 18th, 2024, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, organized a training program on English teaching methods for high school teachers. This initiative is part of the Professional Online English Network (OPEN) program aimed at enhancing teaching capacity and providing teachers with updated knowledge.
Teachers Receive Training Certificates from the Organizing Committee
In the opening ceremony, a representative of the Department of Education emphasized the importance of innovative teaching methods to meet the growing demand for high-quality English education in the context of international integration. English is considered a global communication tool, essential for accessing the vast knowledge of world civilization. Proficiency in English opens doors to diverse global information and opportunities for international connections.
A representative from the U.S. Embassy also affirmed their commitment to supporting Vietnam in improving English teaching capacity, particularly through specialized programs like OPEN.
The training program provided valuable learning opportunities for English teachers, helping to improve the quality of foreign language education in Hai Phong's public school system. It also fostered cooperation and knowledge exchange among teachers, strengthening ties between the U.S. Embassy and the local community while promoting educational development through expert insights.
At the end of the program, certificates were awarded to the participating teachers.
