On the afternoon of September 16, Hai Phong Party Committee had a meeting with Son La Province Party Committee to exchange experience and seek comprehensive development cooperation in socioeconomy, national defense and security, Party building and political system consolidation to realize the tasks and targets according to the 13th Party Congress’s Resolution and the Resolutions of the two Municipal Party Congress in the 2020-2025 term.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Do Manh Hien, Hai Phong’s Standing Vice Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Son La Party Committee, Head of Son La’s Delegation of the National Assembly’s Deputies. Besides, there were leaders of the People’s Committee and Council and relevant Departments and agencies of the two localities.
Recently, Hai Phong City and Son La Province have maintained frequent exchange in Party building work, political system consolidation and mass mobilization; successfully organize 2020 Son La’s Safe Agricultural Product and Tourism Promotion Week in Hai Phong; fostering information exchange on local tourists in Son La and Hai Phong for better management. At the meeting, the two Party Committees had signed the Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral comprehensive cooperation in the 2022-2025 period with 6 main following contents: i) Party building and political system consolidation; ii human resource training and development; iii) Agricultural product manufacturing, processing and consumption; iv)investment attraction for infrastructure construction, digital government, digital economy, digital society development and innovation - startups support; v) tourism, cultural and social development, social welfare programs, local dweller’s living standard improvement; vi) information exchange for security, national defense protection and foreign affairs.
Each locality will designate one Vice Chairman of the People’s Committees as the focal point forcollaboration in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding; leading relevant Departments, agencies, to build annual cooperation plans and tasks for in the period of 2022-2025./.
