On the 3rd May, 2023, Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel paid a visit to Vinfast factory Haiphong during his officical visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Mr. Quang Nguyen, Vingroup Vice Chairman and CEO, Ms. Thuy Le, Vingroup Vice Chairwoman and Vinfast Chairwoman , and other leaders of Vingroup and Vinfast received the PM and his delegation. Joined the meeting in Vinfast included the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Vietnam, Ambassador of Vietnam to Belgium and Luxembourg, Director of Haiphong Department of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting in Vinfast, leaders of Vingroup and Vinfast introduced the PM the business strategy, major business areas, and current operation of Vingroup, the history of establishment and development of Vinfatst. Vinfast was established in 2017. It takes the lead in manufacturing first electric cars in Vietnam by offering VF e34 model “made in Vietnam" in 2021. The PM and the delegation members shared their opinion concerning green growth, inevitable choice towards prosperity in the world, and Luxembourg’s policy to facilitate net zero carbon, green growth...

The PM impressed with Vinfast’s assembling workshop of almost 100,000sqm and equipped with 1,200 robots. He experienced driving a VF-9 car, currently the most luxury model of Vinfast.
The visit contributed to the overall fruitful and successful visit to Vietnam by the Luxembourg’s PM.
