On the morning of August 31st, a Ceremony to Handover the adjusted Investment Registration Certificate for LG Display Viet Nam Hai Phong Company Ltd (LG Display) was held at the company’s headquarter in Trang Due Industrial Park. Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority handed over the adjusted investment registration certificate to LG Display. Accordingly, LG Display has raised its investment capital by 1.4 billion USD, bringing the total investment capital in Hai Phong to 4.65 billion USD and becoming the project with the largest investment capital in the city. According to the plan, the company will increase the output of plastic OLED screens from 9.6 – 10 million products per month to 13 – 14 million products per month. It expects to pocket more 6.5 billion USD in export turnover, contribute 25 million USD to the budget and create more jobs for 10,000 employees.

Mr. Suk Myung Su, General Director of LG Display expressed his joy and great impression when the project received special attention from Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Chairman of the City People's Committee and Mr. Standing Party Committee, Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority and relevant agencies, that supported the procedures for the adjusted investment registration certificate to be completed in 3 days. This was really a remarkable reform in administrative procedures, which created maximum conditions for businesses. LG Display will make every effort to quickly implement the project and put it into operation.

LG Display was first obtained an investment certificate in 2016 with a total investment of 1.5 billion USD specializing in production of plastic OLED screens for mobile devices, TV OLED, LCD screens.... Thanks to the continuous improvement of Hai Phong's investment environment and the company’s high investment efficiency, LG Display continuously adjusted to increase its investment capital and expand its production scale. After 7 times of adjustments, in which 4 times of investment capital increase and especially 2 times of investment capital increase in 2021 , LG Display's total investment capital in Hai Phong has reached 4.65 billion USD. In 2020, LG Display achieved more than 9 billion USD of export revenue, thus creating jobs for 14,000 employees and paying 19.4 million USD to the budget./.
