After directly inspecting the site clearance and construction at phase 2 of the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 37 through Hai Phong city on the 4th October, 2023, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho made an assessment.
He appreciated the active participation of the entire local political system in site clearance to serve project construction. Thanks to such efforts, Vinh Bao district has so far completed the land acquisition in the adjustment project, received high consensus from the residents, no household had to carry out enforcement. The district has completed the task of land acquisition 15 days ahead of schedule. Vinh Bao district has made efforts to have the site available early, to meet the requirements set out in the Plan to complete the project this year. The Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee requested the investor and executors to focus on human resources and machinery to speed up progress to ensure basic completion of the project according to the proposed plan.
National Highway 37 is an interprovincial route connecting 8 provinces and cities including: Thai Binh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai and Son La. This is an important route in terms of economy, politics and ensuring national security, with a total length of about 485km, planned as a class IV road in mountainous areas, a class III road for densely populated areas and plains.
