On August 20th-21th, 2024, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), organized a training session on "Entrepreneurship Skills and Business Plan Development." This activity is part of the project "Enhancing Skills and Employment Opportunities for High-Risk Labor Groups, Especially Young Migrants," aimed at equipping business owners in Hai Phong with the knowledge and skills to develop and maintain small business models that leverage local strengths.
The event saw the participation of 70 delegates from IOM, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, various local departments, and selected business owners from the city.
Over two days, instructors met up directly with 25 business owners to discuss their business models, assess potential for development, and identify needs. This allowed for tailored support and advice on how to sustain these businesses. Each business owner presented their business idea, evaluated its development potential, and identified target markets, customer profiles, and key problems to solve.
Eight models were selected for continued support and consultation through January 2025.
