On the morning of March 21, at the City Tax Department, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, attended the online meeting on launching the digital website for foreign suppliers and on deploying eTax Mobile app. The online meeting was chaired by Mr. Ho Duc Phoc, Member of the Central Party, Financial Minister. Participating were leadership representatives of related departments, agencies and units.
Accordingly, foreign suppliers without representative offices in Vietnam engaged in e-commercial business, e-business and other services with Vietnamese organizations and individuals have direct or authorize for tax registration, tax declaration, and tax payment.
All registered tax transactions, declarations and payments is done online through the digital website of the Tax General Department; foreign suppliers are not required to submit hard copies of documents to the Vietnam tax authorities. The eTax Mobile system is applied on mobile devices version 1.0 to provide services to individual taxpayers. Taxpayers directly register an account on the system or through the National Public Service Website, and open an account at banks for electronic tax payment.
Mr. Ho Duc Phoc required the Tax General Department to maintain the stable and absolutely confidential system. The People’s Committee of provinces and cities have enhanced dissemination on application of two systems to people and enterprises. The State Bank has collaborated with other banks to integrate eTax Mobile with all banks across the country./.
