(HPDT)- On the morning of November 10, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Thuy District held the inauguration ceremony of works and projects of new rural district and new exemplary countryside in Thuy Huong Commune. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Dang Ba Cuong, Member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Head ofthe City’s Commission for Internal Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments, agencies and sectors.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, acknowledged the initiative, creativity and active participation of Kien Thuy District’s whole political system in organizing to build new rural district and new exemplary countryside in Thuy Huong Commune.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged the initiative, creativity and active participation of whole political system of Kien Thuy District in organizing to build new rural district and new exemplary countryside in Thuy Huong Commune; promoting the role of people as the subject and supervisor in building new exemplary countryside at local level.
On the basis of the achieved results, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that Kien Thuy District should work closely with the City's Coordination Office of New Rural Development Program to carefully prepare relevant documents to be recognized as new rural district soon. The District needs to make good use of the experience in building new exemplary rural area in Thuy Huong Commune to speed up the progress, shorten the construction time of works and projects in Thanh Son Commune, and continue to choose communes for building new rural areas in the next years. In addition, it is necessary to continue to change agricultural production methods and models, in which, pay attention to implementing the One Commune-One Product program (OCOP) to enhance production and agricultural products’ value...
Mr. Do Xuan Trinh, Secretary of Kien Thuy District Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Implementing the construction of new rural district, Kien Thuy District received the City’s investment capital of more than 93.8 billion VND to carry out 8 projects whereas 1 project’s budget was (building the district’s Culture and Information Center) from the district's public investment capital of more than 33.8 billion VND). Up to now, the District has completed 6 projects with a total investment of 102 billion VND.

In the construction of new exemplary countryside, especially in the construction of new exemplary rural area in Thuy Huong Commune, from 2020, the District has approved investment plan on 28 works under the project in Thuy Huong Commune with a total investment of more than 145 billion VND (including 27 works of road building and 1 work of waste treatment facility). In 2 years (2020-2021), the locality mobilized 424 households to donate more than 8,496 m2 of land. Accordingly, up to now, 26/27 road works have been completed. To October 2021, through inspection, review and evaluation, Thuy Huong Commune achieved 15/17 criteria for new exemplary rural commune in the period of 2020-2025,. The 02 remaining criteria are under implementation , in which the commune strives to complete in 2022./.
