Japanese Companies Participate in Technology Supply and Demand Connection in Hai Phong

Within the framework of cooperation between Hai Phong City and Kitakyushu City, Japan, one of the key goals in alignment with the current phase of development is to enhance collaboration in the field of science and technology. With the aim of creating breakthroughs and effective outcomes, and fostering strong connections between businesses from both sides, on October 2, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Kitakyushu International Association and the Planning and Cooperation Bureau of Kitakyushu City to organize a technology supply and demand connection seminar. The event attracted over 100 participants, including representatives from relevant departments and sectors, local associations, organizations, businesses, as well as representatives from the Planning and Cooperation Bureau of Kitakyushu City, the Kitakyushu International Association, and several Japanese companies.

At the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, emphasized the significance of the event in promoting domestic and international cooperation in science and technology. He highlighted the importance of fostering technology transfer and advanced equipment exchange between local businesses in Hai Phong and Japanese companies, focusing on sectors such as port automation, energy, construction, and environmental processing to be applied in production and daily life. He also emphasized the need to support and encourage local enterprises to invest in and innovate technology, as well as to receive advanced technology and equipment transfers from abroad. Furthermore, the seminar aimed to deepen the friendly cooperative relationship between Hai Phong and Kitakyushu.
At the seminar, the participants introduced new and advanced technologies in fields such as manufacturing, agriculture, and information technology. They explored potential agreements and contracts to create more opportunities for Hai Phong businesses to adopt Japanese technologies. The event also aimed to promote innovation, enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, and ultimately leading to the creation of new products and services that meet market demands.

As part of the seminar, businesses took part in one-on-one connection sessions to discuss technology needs and collaboration opportunities. Several agreements were reached during these private meetings, facilitating the development of joint technology projects.
