On the afternoon of April 13, the City People’s Committee held a press conference for the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival – Hai Phong 2022 with the participation of representatives of relevant departments, units and press agencies in the city. The conference was chaired by Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Deputy Head of the Festival’s Organizing Board.
The Red Flamboyant Flower Festival, an annual cultural – political event since 2011, is among the city’s uniqueness and of the local dwellers’ pride. This year marks the festival resumption after 2 year pause due to Covid-19, held on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13 1955 – May 13 2022).
This year festival, themed “Hai Phong – the Destination of Success”, takes place from May 11 to May 13 2022 with more than 70 economic and cultural activities in the center of the city and districts besides the main festival night and the inauguration of over 20 typical projects of all levels.
With its meticulous preparation, Hai Phong city has made determined effort to successfully organize the Festival. The city’s leaders expressed their hope that local press agencies would intensify the promotion of the Festival, creating a public expression of a Hai Phong as a destination of success with new appearance, hospitality and civilization.
