Information and press conference in the 44th week

On the afternoon of November 03, Propaganda Bureau of the Municipal Party Committee collaborated with the Department of Information and Telecommunication, the City’s Journalists Association to organize the meeting to provide information and press for the week of 44th in the year of 2022. Hosting the meeting was Mrs. Dao Khanh Ha, member of the Standing Affairs Bureau, cum the Chief of Propaganda Bureau of the Municipal Party Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Chief of Office, Spokesperson of the City’s People Committee, provided information about socio-economic situation in the first 10 months of 2022. Indeed, the highlight was that the municipal budget revenue achievements increased almost 19% in comparison with the same period of 2021, equivalent to more than 82% estimated targets designated by the City Council; FDI attraction as of October 19th 2022 reached more than 1.4 billion USD, equivalent to above 56% of the whole year plan.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu also shared that currently the city is gathering comments of ministries, agencies, localities, and departments to complete the City Master Plan for the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, according to Law on planning to submit competent authorities for approval in 2022. Focusing on investment and development of economic and social facilities, particularly transport and urban infrastructure.

At the meeting, representatives of some press agencies raised questions of issues related to foreign direct investment (FDI) did not meet the set plan; policies for meritorious persons, poor and near-poor households, in 2022; implementation regulations on penalties from November 01st 2022 for act of sidewalks and slow settlement of resettlement for people in new residential areas.

In conclusion, Mrs. Dao Khanh Ha attached the importance of information revealed and timely reflected by the press to help the city to solve issues of public interests and direct the content of propaganda in the coming time./.
