Inauguration of the Pourin Special Welding Factory at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park

On the morning of March 28, Mr. Lê Trung Kiên, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA), attended the inauguration ceremony of the Pourin Special Welding Manufacturing Plant, operated by Pourin Vietnam Manufacturing Co., Ltd., located in the Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Zone.

The Pourin Special Welding Plant project was granted its investment registration certificate in January 2024 and has since been completed promptly and safely. The official commencement of operations marks not only the result of a serious investment process but also clear evidence of the investor's sustainable development progress in Hai Phong.

With the main goal of producing boiler components such as steam-generating membrane walls, headers, superheaters, and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), the factory spans over 150,000 square meters and has a total investment of more than USD 59 million. This project not only meets the growing demands of the global market but also generates sustainable employment opportunities for local workers, contributing to the city’s economic development and social welfare.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Lê Trung Kiên emphasized that China has long been an important partner of Hai Phong—not only in economic cooperation but also in the fields of environment, education, healthcare, and agriculture. China currently ranks second in total investment capital in Hai Phong, with more than 245 projects and total capital of USD 6.2 billion, accounting for 22% of all FDI in the city’s industrial parks and economic zones.

He also highlighted that Hai Phong remains one of the leading localities in Vietnam for attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), with an annual average of approximately USD 3.5 billion. The city has become a top choice for major corporations such as Flat, Tongwei, TP-Link, Sanhua, and Autel. These achievements affirm that Hai Phong is an ideal destination for investors and serve to deepen Vietnam–China relations, especially toward the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (January 18, 1950 – January 18, 2025). Hai Phong is always ready to support Chinese enterprises and considers China a strategic partner in economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

Mr. Kiên further affirmed that today’s inauguration ceremony reflects the investor’s continuous efforts in the construction and completion of the project, ensuring progress and absolute safety. He expressed his hope that Pourin Vietnam Manufacturing Co., Ltd. would build on this success to further promote sustainable and efficient manufacturing. He also urged all enterprises in the industrial zone to comply with relevant legal regulations, research and apply modern, environmentally friendly technologies, and contribute to Hai Phong’s goal of a green industrial transformation.

The city leadership, HEZA, and relevant departments are committed to continuing to support, accompany, and assist the company throughout the entire operation of the project.
