On the evening of May 7, at the City Theater Square, the City Women's Union (UWU) organized the 4th Hai Phong Ao Dai Festival in 2025 with the theme "Pride of the Heritage Land". This is an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and the 12th Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival.
Attending the program were Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and international organizations; leaders of departments, branches, localities, the Women's Union of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province; former leaders of the City Women's Union of different periods, along with more than 2,000 cadres, women's members and people of the city.
The festival brings viewers to a unique cultural and artistic space depicting the beauty of Vietnamese ao dai through 3 performances of the ao dai collection of the Ao Dai brand An An with the themes: Heritage Flow, Heritage Colors, Radiant Vietnam and Brighten Hai Phong. The artisans skillfully use traditional hand embroidery and meticulous hand painting to create impressive designs, highlighting the images of Ba Trung, Ba Trieu, General Le Chan, the beautiful landscapes of the homeland, Hai Phong city and 54 ethnic groups with the desire to connect the heritage of all regions of the country.
Many designs were inspired by familiar images of Hai Phong city such as: City Post Office, City Theater, Lan Ha Bay (Cat Hai district), Thuy Nguyen on a new day, Tam Bac Lake and red phoenix flowers. The typical beauty of Hai Duong and Hai Phong cuisine is also shown on some Ao Dai designs. Under the performance of female city police officers, child models from the City Ao Dai Heritage Club and puppeteers, combined with luxurious jewelry designs from the DOJI gemstone brand, the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai shines even brighter, becoming a symbol of national unity. Interspersed between the Ao Dai performances are special performances such as: Continuing the story of peace, Red Phoenix Flower City, Mother loves her child, folk dance performance "Beautiful Vietnam" and "The country is full of joy" which received enthusiastic support from many women and people of the city.
