Haiphong - Singapore new maritime-service route to open

Tan Vu Port branch (Hai Phong Port Joint Stock company) has received a ship named OPHELIA from Singapore. This is the first ship in CMA-HSF1 marine service route of CMA-CGM ship brand collaborating with SAMUDERA and COSCO, which connects Hai Phong – Singapore and vice versa ands meets increasing demand of transporting containers of intra-Asia marine service route.

Measuring 172 meters in length and 21.777MT in total weight, OPHELIA is amongst the globetrotting marine transport CMA-CG’s ships, whose fleet numbers up to 350 ships and transporting capacity of over 1 million Teu container. In CMA-HSF1 service route, the OPHELIA ship arrives at Hai Phong Port twice a month, total estimated import and export quantity is approximately 1200 Teu per shipment, average quantity is 2.400-2.500 Teu per month. According to the authority of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, the first ship of CMA-HSF1 service route to arrive at Tan Vu branch continues to be a success in Port of Hai Phong’s business activities that builds upon the gains made in the first 6 months of 2021 (the whole Port received and offloaded 1.114 ships, of which 617 were containers). Amidst COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts and fierce competition for market share by regional ports, having more service routes is the result of relentless efforts in customers care, service quality improvement and confirmation of prestige and customers’ confidence in Hai Phong Port.
