Deploying the tasks of the national action program on sustainable production and consumption to 2020, vision to 2030, solutions to green the distribution system and develop supply chains of eco-friendly products and services has been seriously implemented by businesses, ensuring sustainable production in industrial clusters.

Each year, this business discharges 4 tons of industrial waste into the environment, of which 90% is recyclable waste including all kinds of packaging, paint-stained and glue-stained packaging, and the remaining 10% is hazardous waste. To protect the environment, the company has strictly implemented the waste treatment process, researched waste treatment methods by testing the conversion of the production line from en-xi paint to water-based paint, which has shown initial results.

In his opinion, Mr. Pham Dinh Hieu, Head of Human Resources Administration Department, International Stationery Company Limited, said: “Other types of hazardous waste that do not have specific treatment solutions are contracted by the company with specialized processing businesses. This is just one of 14 enterprises in different production fields in Tan Lien industrial cluster that are implementing solutions to ensure the environment for sustainable production according to the management regulations of the management board of investment project to build urban infrastructure and economic zones, industrial zones in Hai Phong city”.

The Project Management Board for investment in construction of urban infrastructure and economic zones, industrial parks in Hai Phong play the monitoring role over business in ensuring environment protection requirement. Enterprises send periodic reports on environmental monitoring results, operating licenses for types of production, scope, scale, capacity of wastewater and exhaust treatment projects, total amount of waste generated as well as green tree ratio. In addition, the Management Board also takes inspection samples from business agencies to serve direct management at two industrial clusters, Tan Lien and Tien Lang town industrial cluster.
