(Chinhphu.vn) - According to preliminary updated data from the General Department of Customs, 50,725 billion VND is the budget revenue of HaiPhong Customs from the beginning ofthe year to August 28. This result is close to the 2018 budget revenue of HaiPhong Customs (nearly 55,000 billion VND in 2018).
This is the highest budget revenue result so far in the same period of HaiPhong Customs.
In comparison with the same period of last year, the budget revenue of HaiPhong Customs increased by 7,000 billion VND, equivalent to an increase of 16.01%.
The above budget revenue results of HaiPhong Customs reached 79.72% compared to the estimated target for the whole year and 75.65% of the target assigned by General Department of Customs, contributing 17.48% to the total revenue of the whole sector in the same period.
The budget revenue results of HaiPhong Customs are a combination of many reasons, in which it should mention many measures to facilitate the business community of departments and agencies, especially promoting reform of administrative procedures and modernizing customs; enhancing and bringing the Customs - Enterprise partnership into more and more substantive and effective ways. Simultaneously, it is synchronously implementing measures to prevent loss of budget revenue.
In general, in 7 months, the total import and export turnover through HaiPhong Customs reached nearly 68 billion USD, of which, 3 months (April, June and July) reached over 10 billion USD per month.
According to the updated data of HaiPhong Customs, by the end of July, there were 4 groups of goods that contributed a large amount of revenue from more than 1,000 billion VND (all imported goods) including: machinery and equipment of 9,319 billion VND, up 4.8% over the same period in 2021; CBU cars of 8,510 billion VND, up 2.1%; iron and steel of 4,487.5 billion VND, up 41.6%; petrol and oil of 2,248 billion VND, up 70.6%.
With the budget revenue of 24,564.5 billion VND, the above 4 groups of goods contributed 54.5% to the total budget revenue of HaiPhong Customs in the first 7 months of the year.
Currently, HaiPhong Customs has the second highest budget revenue among 35 local customs departments.
