Hai Phong will be allocated a sufficient amount of COVID-19 vaccine for people age 18 and older in October

On the afternoon of October 9^th, after the meeting between Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation’ deputites with voters in Hong Bang district, representative of the Ministry of Health handed over medical equipments for COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control to Hai Phong city.

In the presence of H.E.Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo Member, Chairman of the National Assembly as long with the Central and municipal leaders, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health handed over 10 ventilators, 1.000.000 masks and 500.000 medical test kits to Hai Phong city. On behalf of the city's leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee respectfully received the meaningful gift from the Ministry of Health for Hai Phong city.

According to Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen, the aggregated data had shown that Hai Phong needed 3.1 million doses of vaccine for people age 18 and older. The city has already finished 1.5 million doses, reaching 46.7% of vaccination. Based on the actual needs and vaccine source, the Ministry of Health decided to supply the rest 1.7 million doses to Hai Phong to ensure the city having enough COVID-19 vaccines for people at the age of 18 and older.

Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen also requested Hai Phong city to soon review and reckon the number of children from 3 to 17 years old and propose vaccination requirements for this object. At the same time, it is necessary for the city to reckon the number of people for additional vaccination, 2^nd vacine dose and 3^rd vaccine booster shot and report to the Ministry of Health to consider and distrubite vaccine to Hai Phong city in the coming time.
