The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor has exchanged information and shared experience in trade union activities with a delegation from South Korea’s Suwon Federation of Trade Unions.

The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor had a working session with a delegation from the Suwon Federation of Trade Unions, South Korea, led by Chairman Seo Jong-chang, on December 3.
According to Nguyen Van Quyet, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong Confederation of Labor, to meet integration requirements, the city Trade Union has pioneered piloting the “socialist grassroots trade union” model; strongly advanced digital transformation through the Huong Cong – Hai Phong Trade Union app; implemented the “safe, civilized rental housing” model in 300 boarding areas for workers; built 100 trade union physical training sites; directly supported 140,000 workers with welfare benefits; and strengthened training in soft skills and foreign languages (Korean and English) for workers.
During the working session, the two sides exchanged information, shared practical experience, and discussed solutions to improve the quality of trade union activities in both localities.
Representatives of trade unions from both localities agreed to regularly implement cooperative activities and share information and experience to enhance capacity and promote their role as representatives protecting the legal rights and interests of trade union members and workers.

Through trade union activities, solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two cities in particular and the two countries in general will be strengthened.
