In the first 6 months of this year, Hai Phong approved a list of support for 18 enterprises to become science-technology enterprises. It is expected that this year, the total number of S&T enterprises in the city will reach 71. This is one of the important steps in the city's science and technology development strategy. Encouraging businesses to apply science and technology in production and business activities not only helps improve efficiency but also creates motivation for creativity and innovation. The city has deployed 1,703 online public services, including 1,317 full-service public services and 386 partial public services. The administrative procedure settlement information system has been deployed synchronously at all levels from the city to communes, wards and towns, facilitating people in carrying out administrative procedures, demonstrating Hai Phong's strong commitment to improving the quality of service to people and businesses through digital transformation. From January 1 to June 5, 2024, the administrative procedure settlement information system received more than 249,000 records and resolved more than 234,000 records, with a settlement rate of 94.02%.
To further support the city's development, Hai Phong also pays special attention to developing telecommunications infrastructure, especially the 5G network. In 2024, the city will maintain the operation of 07 5G BTS stations that have been piloted and tested in seaport areas and the city center; At the same time, the city has maintained the operation of the 5G Private Mobile Network jointly deployed by the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and Pegatron Vietnam at the Pegatron factory in Hai Phong. It has worked with Viettel Hai Phong and Hai Phong Telecommunications to prioritize resources and accelerate the deployment of 5G infrastructure in Hai Phong, with the goal of making Hai Phong one of the first provinces and cities to deploy large-scale 5G infrastructure, leading the country in terms of with the number of stations.
