In an effort to promote digital transformation in education and improve learning conditions for students in disadvantaged areas, the Hai Phong City People's Committee has approved the reception of the aid project “Support for Nguyen Doc Tin Primary School, An Hung Commune, Hai Phong City – LS Dream School No. 24”. The project is sponsored by the organization Cooperation and Participation in Overseas NGOs (COPION) from South Korea, with funds mobilized from the LS Group.

Realizing Technology Dreams in Difficult Areas
Nguyen Doc Tin Primary School is located in An Hung Commune, an area that still faces many infrastructure difficulties following an administrative merger. Currently, the school's classrooms have seriously deteriorated, with leaking roofs, damp walls, and damaged door systems, which do not ensure safety.
Notably, as Informatics became a compulsory subject in 2022, the school has faced a severe shortage of equipment. In the current Informatics room, an average of three students must share one old computer that frequently breaks down, making practice a luxury. The “LS Dream School No. 24” project was born as a timely solution for the technological infrastructure problem, giving the school's 825 students the opportunity to access a modern digital learning environment.
Project Content and Investment Scale
The project has a total value of 380,000,000 VND (approximately 14,600 USD). It is implemented entirely through non-refundable aid, with no counterpart capital from the local government. Support items focus on comprehensively upgrading the school's IT infrastructure, including:
- Informatics Room: Installation of 20 brand-new desktop computers, purchased in Vietnam.
- Smart Classroom: Equipped with 12 laptops and 01 specialized equipment locker.
- Digital Capacity Building: Organizing a series of 08 extracurricular sessions on basic computer skills, practical computer usage, and experiences in assembling and controlling robots.
According to the approved plan, the project will be implemented within a record time of 02 months from the date of approval. The An Hung Commune People's Committee serves as the project owner, responsible for coordinating closely with COPION and the school throughout the installation and handover process.
A unique feature of the implementation is the participation of COPION’s Vietnamese volunteers, who are university students from Hanoi. This team will directly guide students through lectures designed in a "learn through play" format that is vivid and intuitive. All extracurricular teaching content must be appraised by the school's professional council to ensure it is appropriate for the psychological and physiological age of primary students.
Strategic Significance and Social Impact
The “LS Dream School No. 24” project brings multi-layered significance to local development:
- Regarding Education: The project helps reduce the student-to-computer ratio to 1–2 students per computer and increases the frequency of using the smart classroom to at least 02–03 sessions per class per week. This creates a foundation for students to develop logical thinking, creativity, and digital capacity from their foundational years.
- Regarding Digital Transformation: Equipping the school with modern devices helps it effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program and the digital transformation tasks of the education sector, bridging the technological gap between rural and urban areas.
- Regarding International Relations: The project is a testament to the corporate social responsibility of South Korean businesses (LS Group) operating in Vietnam, contributing to the strengthening of friendship and people-to-people exchange between the two nations.
Upon completion, all equipment will be handed over to Nguyen Doc Tin Primary School for management as public property, ensuring sustainability and long-term effectiveness for future generations of students. The success of the “LS Dream School” model in An Hung Commune is expected to serve as a basis for replicating similar educational support projects across the city in the future.
