The Party Committee, authority and residents of Haiphong has spared no effort to preserve cultural historical works, both old-aged traditional and archaeological ones. They are of great values for not only Haiphong city but also Vietnam. 840 cultural historical relics of Haiphong have been named in the preservation list, including 02 special national relics, 115 national relics, 392 city-level relics and more than 400 traditional festival. Thanks to timely preservation, 70 out of 140 relics have been upgraded and preserved. The task of inventorying intangible cultural heritages has been deployed in6/15 districts. There are about 499 ones. 8 relics of Haiphong have been so far recognized as national intangible cultural relics. Especially, Nguyen Binh Khiem temple has been listed as special national relic. The relic has been invested by the city to upgrade the site, build the road to connect with neighboring localities. It is one of the red address to introduce the image and tradition of fondness for learning of Haiphong people.
