Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company has just successfully received three container ships of Maersk Line to make a good landfall at Tan Vu Port Branch - Hai Phong Port.
MAERSK NUSSFJORD ship, Panamanian flagged, with a length of 171.93m and a tonnage of nearly 30,000 tons transported over 1,400 TEU of import and export containers and MAERSK VALENCIA ship, Singaporean flagged, with a length of 175.50m and a tonnage of over 23,000 tons transported about 1,600 TEU of import and export containers under the service route IA88 currently being operated at Tan Vu Port with a frequency of 1 trip per week.
PADIAN 2 ship with a cargo volume of 1,100 TEU of containers was added by Maersk Line to meet the import and export needs of customers in the context of scarcity of space and container equipment.
The event of receiving the above three container ships is one of activities of Hai Phong Port to congratulate Maersk Vietnam on 30 years of presence in the Vietnamese market.

In August, the total volume of cargo through Hai Phong area reached 7.490 million tons, slightly down from the previous month. Besides, irregular ship schedules and adverse weather conditions (rainstorms, floods) also cause many difficulties for company's production and exploitation.
Also in August, the whole port received and unloaded 164 ships including 91 container ships. Hai Phong Port has added 15 new container trucks to Tan Vu Port Branch to further improve the capacity of vehicles and equipment, meeting all customer service requirements with the highest quality./.
