On October 17-18, 2022, in Hanoi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and Australia to organize the following activities: The OECD-Southeast Asia high-level forum 2022 and the Vietnam-OECD high-level economic forum.
Attending the forums were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Astralian Minister for Trade and Manufacturing Senator Tim Ayres, OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann, and leaders of other ministries and branches.
On the Hai Phong side, there were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong, leaders of Departments: Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment.

The forums discussed issues with great significance to Vietnam and Southeast Asia, such as maintaining macroeconomic stability; controlling inflation; improving the economy's resilience; strengthening the economic social security system; enhancing the business environment, digital transformation, green growth, and high-quality FDI attraction.
On this occasion, Ministry of Foreign Affairs also held an "Exhibition of external economic achievements and potential investment environment in Vietnam" to promote and introduce the potential and strengths of the country, localities, and local businesses to support and create favorable conditions for localities to enhance exchanges and connections, promote integration and cooperation with OECD countries.

Hai Phong City participated in the exhibition and displayed some typical products such as Cat Hat fish sauce, Cat Ba products, as well as presented some video clips promoting the city, and the beauty of Lan Ha Bay; provided some documents and publications on investment promotion and advertisement of Hai Phong City.
Participating in the event is a meaningful activity to propagate and promote the potential of investment attraction, introduce the unique culture of Hai Phong City to the business communities of 38 OECD member countries and 10 Southeast Asian countries as well as promote and strengthen the external exchange, cultural and economic activities among Hai Phong with other cities and countries around the world./.
