In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2025) and to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, on February 2, Do Son District, Hai Phong City held a dragon boat racing festival at the Legendary Lake in the Dragon Hill International Tourism Area.

Speaking with a reporter from the Cong Thuong (Industry and Trade) Newspaper, Mr. Pham Hoang Tuan – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Do Son District, Hai Phong City – shared: “The dragon boat racing festival is a traditional sports event rich in cultural identity. It is organized annually by the district at the beginning of the new year to celebrate spring, honor the spirit of unity, and the resilient will of coastal residents.”
This year’s competition featured six male dragon boat racing teams representing the six wards of Do Son District. Through intense and thrilling rounds of competition, the teams brought spectators impressive and spectacular performances. With the sound of festive drums, paddles slicing through the water, and the enthusiastic cheers of thousands of locals and visitors, the event created a vibrant springtime atmosphere.
Mr. Pham Hoang Tuan emphasized: “The dragon boat racing festival is not only a sporting event, but also contributes to promoting the image of Do Son’s tourism, boosting socio-economic development, and fostering national pride and community solidarity.”

- Third place:Minh Duc Ward
- Consolation prizes:Hai Son, Hop Duc, and Ngoc Xuyen Wards.
