In order to improve efficiency in the management and operation of electricity grid system of Hai Phong City in general and Kien Thuy District in particular, Hai Phong Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company (PC Hai Phong) has invested, renovated, built new overhead lines, underground cables and 13 new transformer stations in communes: Kien Quoc, Thanh Son, Thuy Huong, Huu Bang, Thuan Thien, Tu Son, Dai Ha, Tan Phong, Du Le (in Kien Thuy District).
Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Hanh - Deputy Director of Company and Mr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Chairman of Company's Trade Union gave gifts to encourage employees at the construction site.
Accordingly, the old medium-voltage lines in Kien Thuy District have been carried out for a long time, which is not guaranteed for long-term operation. Therefore, it is very necessary to improve the conductor cross-section to enhance transmission capacity and build a new Kien Thuy electricity grid. PC Hai Phong also changed the grid operating voltage from 35 kV to 22 kV to synchronize voltage levels, connect loops to improve electricity supply reliability, and ensure electricity supply stability for load development needs in districts: Do Son, Duong Kinh, Kien An, Kien Thuy.
In addition, the company also renovated 40 distribution substations, of which 9 substations without 22 kV voltage level were replaced, 7,500 meters of 22 kV underground cables were newly built with a total investment of over 120 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in 2021.
The investment in renovating and developing the electricity grid of Hai Phong City in general and Kien Thuy District in particular is in line with the approved power grid planning of Hai Phong City. It will improve electricity quality and electricity supply reliability, reduce electricity losses, prevent grid overloads, and shorten electricity outage for troubleshooting or repairing electricity grid. Therefore, it will also create momentum for local economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of people, increase the output of commercial electricity, and achieve high efficiency in electricity sale business of Hai Phong Electricity One Member Limited Liability Company.
