From January 26 to January 30, 2025, a working delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, including representatives from the Hai Phong City Department of Education and Training (DOET), completed a working program in Paris, France. The mission aimed to discuss the signing of cooperation agreements between French regional education authorities and Vietnamese DOETs, while simultaneously connecting general education institutions between the two countries.

Composition and Key Activities
The Hai Phong City delegation participating in this mission included: Mr. Uong Minh Long (Deputy Director of Hai Phong DOET), Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (Vice Principal of Tran Phu Gifted High School), and Ms. Luong Thi Kim Hong (Vice Principal of Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School).
During their time in France, the delegation participated in several important professional activities:
- Promoting Language Proficiency and Digital Technology: Working with France Éducation International (FEI) regarding the teaching and learning of French, international certifications (DELF, DALF, TCF), and supporting digital development in education.
- Vocational Training Cooperation: Discussions at Sorbonne University regarding exchange programs and vocational training cooperation between the educational agencies of the two countries.
- Teacher Development: Working with the Teacher Training Network (Canopé) on improving professional qualifications for teachers through digital resources and face-to-face and online training courses.
- Researching Pedagogical Models: Attending seminars on the E-Twinning online cooperation model and identifying pedagogical training needs to promote France-Vietnam educational cooperation.
Notably, the Hai Phong working group, led by Deputy Director of DOET Uong Minh Long, directly visited and worked with many prestigious educational institutions in France to prepare for future twinning and exchange activities. These schools included: Louis-le-Grand High School, Alexandre Dumas Primary School, Guillaume Tirel High School, Gabriel Fauré High School, and La Fontaine High School.
During the working sessions, the Hai Phong delegation provided comprehensive information to French partners regarding the highlights and development orientation of the city's education system. Both sides also discussed in depth the possibility of teacher exchanges, the provision of educational materials to schools teaching French in Hai Phong, and the establishment of a sustainable cooperation roadmap.
The working trip was evaluated to have proceeded according to plan, ensuring the set objectives were met and opening new opportunities for Hai Phong City's education system to access advanced international management and teaching methods.
