(HPDT)- Under the direction of the Secretary of the City Party Committee on strengthening the coordination, actively improving business and investment environment, on the afternoon of November 15, Hai Phong Department of Customs (HDOC) and Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA) organized a signing ceremony of coordination regulation in state management of investment projects and economic organizations implementing investment projects in the area of Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zone and other industrial zones in Hai Phong city.

The ceremony was co-hosted by Mr. Le Trung Kien - Member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Head of HEZA and Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Director of HDOC with the participation of Major General Vu Thanh Chuong - Member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Director of Department of Public Security, representatives of the 02 departments and a number of large enterprises in the industrial zones.

HDOC and HEZA agreed to: jointly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the investment projects and economic organizations in the area of Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zones and other industrial zones in Hai Phong; create favorable conditions, shorten administrative procedures and speed up investment promotion to build a healthy and fair business and investment environment; promptly detect and handle investors and economic organizations violating the law; prevent and limit the negative impacts on society.

The two sides agreed on 7 specific contents, including: coordinating in collecting opinions of export processing enterprises (EPE) on their ability to meet the customs inspection and supervision conditions before granting the Investment Registration Certificate or certifying in written documents to the investors in case they are not required to obtain an Investment Registration Certificate or to issue or modify an investment registration certificate to implement addictional investment project; handling imported assets and goods in origin in case the enterprise converts from an EPE to enterprise that does not enjoy the policies of EPEs; State management on termination and relocation of investment projects, etc …;coordinating in handling problems arising in the management of investment projects and economic organizations implementing investment projects; providing and exchanging statistic information on tax collection, and import-export turnover of economic organizations in the industrial and economic zones; organizing professional training, conferences, seminars, investment promotion.../.
