On the morning of April 16, launching ceremony of the Hai Phong City logo creation contest was held with participation of representatives of fine art universities, typical painters and sculptors of Hai Noi and neighboring provinces and cities.
Hai Phong City has a rich history and culture. Stepping in a new era, the city needs an official symbol carrying bold identity and imprint. The symbol will be an important and representative image in the city’s political, economic, cultural, and social life.
On behalf of the organizer, Mrs. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports announced the launch of the contest and expected to receive positive support and active participation from the public.
Painter Luong Xuan Doan, President of Vietnam Fine Art Associate, commented that it was the 6th time the contest has been launched and well prepared for its schedule, hoping that Hai Phong would be able to choose a high-quality works. Particularly, Mr. Pham Hung Cuong, Principal of Hanoi Industrial Fine Art University, mentioned the school would bring the aforementioned content into lessons for students in design faculty so that the Organization will have numerous works for choosing./.
