On the afternoon of September 23, Hai Phong Party Committee’s Standing Board collaborated with Thai Nguyen Province counterpart to co-organize the Conference on Bilateral Cooperation for Development, which was attended by both sides’ municipal party and state leaders: Mr. Tran Luu Quang, member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong’s Delegation of the National Assembly’s Deputies; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Party Committee, Head of Thai Nguyen’s Delegation of the National Assembly’s Deputies; Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong Party Committee, and leaders of relevant departments, agencies.
At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized Thai Nguyen as not only an ideal investment destination to domestic and foreign enterprises but also one of growth poles of the northern mountainous midland provinces thanks to its geo-political and geo-economical advantages. The province has been a bright spot in investment attraction, administrative reform and digital transformation nationwide. However, he expected to learn more about Hai Phong City’s experiences in industrial development, tourism and new rural area construction.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang lauded Thai Nguyen counterpart on the recent breakthroughs, emphasizing that the bilateral cooperation programs would lay the foundation for the two sides’ comprehensive coordination and mutual support.
Leaders of the two localities had exchanged ideas and reached consensus on key cooperation contents in the coming time, in which the cooperation priorities include: industrial and agricultural development; human resources training; investment attraction in infrastructure and facilities construction; digital government, economy and society building; startup and innovation support; tourism, culture and social welfare./.
