Hai Phong: Budget revenue reached nearly 58,000 billion VND, up more than 37% Budget revenue in the first 4 months of 2025 of Hai Phong City reached 57,925 billion VND, a sharp increase over the same period last year.

According to the Hai Phong Statistical Office, the total state budget revenue in the area in April 2025 is estimated at VND 10,041.7 billion, of which domestic revenue is VND 4,300.8 billion; revenue from import-export activities is VND 5,740.9 billion.

It is estimated that in the first 4 months of 2025, the total state budget revenue of Hai Phong City will reach 57,925 billion VND, equal to 49.06% of the estimate assigned by the People's Council and an increase of 37.4% over the same period last year.

Of which, domestic revenue reached 32,848.1 billion VND, equal to 64.41% of the People's Council's estimate and increased by 44.33% over the same period last year; revenue from import-export activities reached 24,483.8 billion VND, equal to 39.05% of the People's Council's estimate and increased by 32.64% over the same period last year.

Regarding total local budget expenditure, in April, the total expenditure of the whole city is estimated at 3,854.9 billion VND, of which, total development investment expenditure is 2,031.3 billion VND, regular expenditure is 1,674.7 billion VND.

It is estimated that by the end of April, the total local budget expenditure will reach VND10,887 billion, equal to 23.47% of the City People's Council's estimate and an increase of 43.27% over the same period last year.

In April, the consumer price index (CPI) in the area increased by 0.35% compared to the previous month and increased by 3.14% compared to the same period last year. Hai Phong's CPI increased in April mainly due to increased rental housing prices and increased pork prices.

On average, in the first 4 months of 2025, the CPI of this locality increased by 2.87% over the same period last year.

Some reasons for the CPI increase in the past 4 months include: The group of medicines and medical services increased by 12.33%, causing the overall CPI to increase by 0.85 percentage points, due to the price of medical services being adjusted up from January 1, 2025 according to the Resolution of the City People's Council.

Health insurance prices increased by 30% when the basic salary was adjusted to VND2.34 million/month; jewelry prices increased by 30.93% and personal care service prices increased by 4.67% were the main reasons causing the price index of other goods and services to increase by 6.29%, affecting the overall CPI to increase by 0.22 percentage points...
