Recently, the Hai Phong Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) solemnly organized a conference to review its 2025 activities and deploy key directions and tasks for 2026. The conference served as an important milestone, affirming the business community's determination to accompany the city as it enters a phase of breakthrough and sustainable development.
Impressive Resilience from the 2025 Foundation
In 2025, despite facing numerous challenges, Hai Phong maintained an impressive growth momentum with an estimated GRDP of 11.81%, which was 1.47 times the national average and ranked second in the country. Within this context, business confidence was strongly reinforced, evidenced by 7,200 newly established enterprises, a 33% increase compared to 2024.
The city's ASME clearly demonstrated its role as a “bridge” between businesses and the government, promptly gathering and reflecting difficulties and obstacles to functional agencies. Furthermore, social security activities and entrepreneurial spirit continued to spread, contributing to the image of Hai Phong's businesses as responsible and humane.
2026 Focus: Digital Transformation and Green Development
Entering 2026, the Hai Phong ASME identified strategic tasks to support members in adapting to the new economic landscape. Key solutions include:
- Promoting digital transformation, green transformation, and the development of circular economy models.
- Strengthening trade promotion, connecting investments, and assisting enterprises in accessing capital.
- Training high-quality human resources to meet integration requirements.
- Successfully organizing the 3rd Congress of the Hai Phong ASME for the 2025–2030 term.
Aspirations to Lead and Build a Substantive Ecosystem
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Dao Thi Kim Ngan – Chairwoman of the Association – emphasized the determination for innovation to accompany the city during its transformation phase. Mr. Tran Gia Phuong – Member of the Standing Committee of the Association’s Executive Board – also provided a profound perspective by proposing that the Association shift strongly from a role of “administrative support” to leading development. The objective is to build a substantive member ecosystem where businesses can connect, cooperate, and support one another for mutual sustainable growth.
Additionally, member organizations committed to spreading a genuine business culture, upholding the prestige and social responsibility of the Port City’s entrepreneurs.
