
Congress for the 2022-2027 Term of the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of Hai Phong City
The year 2025 marked a vibrant and effective journey for the Vietnam – Korea Friendship Association of Hai Phong City. With a proactive and creative spirit, the Association implemented a series of cultural exchange programs, business connections, and community activities, affirming its vital role as a bridge in bilateral cooperative relations.

The Association's leaders were honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of the city.

Mr. Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the city and Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association, delivered a speech at the Congress for the 2022-2027 term
One of the most prominent highlights of the year was the official launch of the Vietnam – Korea Business Club (VKBC/VIBC) under the Association. The club quickly became a core entity in connecting over 150 delegates from associations and FDI enterprises in the city. Consequently, trade promotion activities were held continuously and substantively:
- Seminar on “Opportunities and Challenges” (May 20, 2025): Attracted more than 60 businesses to discuss supply chains and technology transfer.
- Trade Promotion Program (June 1, 2025): Gathered over 70 corporations and businesses; many Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) were signed in the fields of logistics, healthcare, and the environment.
- Strategic Proposal: The Association advised on the establishment of the Vietnam – Korea Investment Promotion Task Force, which is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2026.

Launch Ceremony of the Vietnam-Korea Business Club of the City
Alongside economic efforts, the Association's people-to-people diplomacy and cultural activities also recorded significant milestones:
- Friendship Exchange “Hai Phong 2025” (May 15, 2025): The cultural space at the Trumpet House (Nguyen Du flower garden) was radiant with artistic performances, Ao dai – Hanbok displays, and traditional cuisine.
- “Vietnam – Korea Cultural Exchange” Program (October 10, 2025): On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day and Hangeul Day, the event gathered over 200 delegates to honor the friendship and present gratitude gifts to exemplary members.
- Environmental Activity (September 27, 2025): Carrying the message “Green – Clean – Beautiful Hai Phong”, more than 200 members, businesses, and students joined a campaign to clean and plant trees in the Van Cao street area.

Regarding organizational work, the Association recorded strong growth in 2025 with 45 new members, bringing the total number of members to 80. The Association also held meetings with the Vietnam – Korea Friendship Association of Hai Duong province to discuss plans for unification and merging, following the organizational restructuring orientations of the Central and City levels.
Entering 2026, the Association is determined to maintain its annual exchange programs, develop an additional 10–20 new members, and promote the application of digital technology in management and networking to further enhance the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy in the new era.
