On the afternoon of December 31, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung paid his visits to Hai Phong State Treasury, Department of Tax, Department of Customs to express his aprreciation for these units’ achievements in 2022 revenue collection and close the budget revenue and expenditure books at the end of 2022. Mr Chairman was accompanied by Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan.

By December 31, 2022, the City’s total revenue reached more than 106,600 billion VND, exceeding 100,000 billion VND for the first time, enlisted in the leading group of the country.

Among the total revenue the domestic revenue reached 38,368 billion VND, equivalent to 120.9% of the estimation given by the central government, a increase of 4.7% compared to 2021; the import and export revenue is more than 68,300 billion VND, exceeding 12,000 billion VND as compared to the assigned target.

In 2023, the City set a target of revenue of more than 116,442 billion VND, in which the domestic revenue is 42,500 billion VND.
