Evaluation of the results of 3 years of implementation of “Korea-Vietnam joining hands for care” project

On the morning of September 29, Hai Phong Women Union in collaboration with the United Nations Center for Human Rights Policy (KOCUN) held a meeting to assess the results of 1st phase of “Korea-Vietnam joining hands for care” project.

Attending the meeting were Mrs. Kim Soyeon, Management General of KOCUN Hai Phong; Mrs. Vu Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the City’s Women Union, and representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and units.

Giving a speech at the meeting, Mrs. Vu Thi Kim Lien informed that since the beginning of the project implementation, the City’s Women Union has coordinated with Korea-Vietnam Center to organize many practical activities to care for, to protect legitimate rights and interests of repatriated women, women preparing for marriage migration and Korean-Vietnamese children.

After 03 years of collaboration, thanks to the support and cooperation of departments, agencies and the City’s Women Union at all levels, the cooperation agreement’s contents have been completed and achieved the targets as planned.

In the upcoming three years, the project will implement educational programs for women in preparation for marriage migration in Korea, organize free Korean language classes and regular meetings for repatriated women and Korean-Vietnamese families, upgrade quality of vocational training programs, career orientation for repatriated women and females migrating under marriage, etc. and many other activities./.
