On the morning of August 17, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho, accompanied by leaders of relevant departments and units, checked the progress of the coastal road project, the section through Hai Phong City and Thai Binh Province under public-private partnership and the coastal road expansion project, the section through Hai Phong City from DT.353 to Thai Binh bridge.
The Project Management Board and contractors are actively implementing the project’s items.
According to the Project Management Board, the construction contractors of the BOT project and the expansion project are currently carrying out the embankment and loading the remaining sandof about 1.33 million m3. Howver, the project’s approved sand mines have almost stopped the supply since May 2022.
After checking the progress, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho requested the Project Management Board and contractors continuously work with the owners of sand mines to prioritize the earliest sand volume for the project, along with studying the other route to transport materialsinstead of by road…
He also requested that the Project Management Board have technical solutions to solve weak ground and ensure the work quality of Lach Thong bridge, Van Uc bridge, DH.212 overpass, Nam canal bridge. Besides, Department of Natural Resources and Environment was assigned to review and report the City about sand mines in the city area for the key projects’ supply./.
