(HPĐT)- On October 22 afternoon, Mr. Le Quoc Tien, Head of Socio-cultural Affairs Department, the City People’s Council, was in charge of Head of Monitoring Team of implementation of Resolution No. 22/NQ-HĐND on financial support for restoration and embellishment of city-ranked historical and cultural relics in the period of 2018-2025 at Do Son District. Representatives of relevant departments also attended the meeting.

Mr. Tran Khac Kien, Chairman of Do Son District People’s Committee, reported and clarified some contents raised by the Monitoring Team at the meeting.
According to Do Son District People’s Committee, there have been 19 relics in Do Son are, in which 06 relics have been ranked at national level and 13 ones at the city level. After review, 06 city-ranked relics have got financial support under the Resolution No. 22/NQ-HĐND and 04 relics have got state-financial support, that are Thuong Duc Temple, Duc Hau Temple, Quy Kim Temple, and the Worship Hall Nguyen Van. The 02 other relics including Do Son Gasoline Warehouse and Van Chai Temple will be financed in the period of 2022-2025. Besides a supported amount of 300 million for a/relic, approximately an amount of 02 billion VND was socialized financed in Do Son District for the relics' renovation and embellishment. The relics’ renovation and embellishment have been aligned with process and regulations, and met requirements of safety, security, and caused no impact upon original factors of those relics. By now, 4 out of 4 relics have accomplished the renovation, embellishment, and have been put into serving tourist and worship purposes.

At the meeting, Do Son District People’s Committee suggested that, the Monitoring Team would raise their inquiry to the City People’s Committee and relevant Departments and units to push up the financial support for the relics’ renovation and embellishment approved for the District in 2022 to handle the degradation of the relics; soon launch renovation and embellishment scheme for national-level relics, tangible and intangible heritages in the city’s areas. Do Son District People’s Committee also proposed Government and Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to allow the locality to sell tickets in traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival Do Son to raise fund for intangible heritage preservation and value growth; facilitating procedures relating to renovation and repair of relics according to Heritage Law.
The Monitoring Team noted ideas and inquiries of Do Son District People’s Committee, and would convey them to relevant departments for further consideration and solution.
Before the meeting, the Monitoring Team went for review at the relics Do Son Gasoline Warehouse (at Hai Son Commune) and Nghieng Ferry Station (Van Huong Commune)./.
