
Delegates attending the Conference.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Hai Phong City Department of Information and Communications has coordinated with Institute of Science and Technology - under Vietnam Association for Software and Information Technology Services (VINASA) to organize the conference on tasks and solutions to develop Hai Phong into a smart and sustainable city.
This is an opportunity for departments, agencies, units, localities, businesses in the city and experts to exchange viewpoints discuss, contribute ideas, and propose priorities to develop smart and sustainable city in Hai Phong. The city is working towards the goals of green growth, sustainable development, current potentials and advantages promotion, resources efficiency improvement; optimal use of resources, enhancement of people’s living standard; favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to effectively participate in research, investment, construction and management of smart city development... Besides, another goal is to limit risks and improve the efficiency of state management and urban services; boosting the competitiveness of economy and international integration capacity.

Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications, gave the opening speech at the conference.
In his opening speech, Mr. Vu Dai Thang , Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications, emphasized that the conference on tasks and solutions to develop Hai Phong into a smart and sustainable city was a part of implementing Resolution No.03-NQ/TU of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on digital transformation of Hai Phong City to 2025 with orientation to 2030. The conference focused on evaluating the current situation and proposing the tasks and solutions to develop Hai Phong into a smart and sustainable city, which would be compiledto submit to the City People's Council for considering and promulgating a Resolution for implementation in the coming time.

At the conference, through the project “Hai Phong – a smart city”, Dr. Nguyen Nhat Quang, Director of Institute of Science and Technology - VINASA provided information in the following issues: The 4th Industrial Revolution and Digital Transformation; Smart Cities - Digital Transformation; main viewpoint of building a smart city which consider people as the core and subject of services; general architecture of smart city; construction strategy of smart city; information infrastructure; smart community...
According to Dr. Nguyen Nhat Quang, the key solution for the current challenge in socio-economic development was to build a smart city on the foundation of digital transformation. In order to implement the project ”Hai Phong – a mart city”, there were 4 groups of key tasks: formulating mechanisms, policies of development planning; organizing structure systems; investing in information infrastructure and deploying smart applications.
