Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh offering incense at the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site

Mr. Le Van Thanh, Member of the Central Party, Deputy Prime Minister, and leaders of the city and Thuy Nguyen District offered incense at the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site on New Year’s Eve.

(HPĐT) –On the occasion of Nham Dan Spring 2022, in the evening of January 31^st (equiv. to December 29^th of Buffalo Year Lunar Calendar), in the New Year’s Eve, Mr. Le Van Thanh, member of the Central Party, Deputy Prime Minister, hosted incense offering ceremony to memorize National Heroics at the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site at Thuy Nguyen District’s area.

Attending the incense offering ceremony were Mr. Pham Van Lap, member of the City Party’s Standing Affairs Agency cum Chairman of the City People’s Council, Mr. Le Anh Quan, member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Affairs Agency cum Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, leadership representatives of departments and agencies of the city.

Mr. Le Van Thanh, member of the Central Party, Deputy Prime Minister, and the leaders of the city and Thuy Nguyen District offered incense at the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site on New Year’s Eve.

At the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site, in the sacred atmosphere, Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Le Van Thanh and the city’s leaders solemnly offered incense to commemorate and honor national heroes who had merits on the historic Bach Dang River, praying for peace for the country and people, Hai Phong City’s continuous development and prosperity in the Nham Dan New Year 2022.

Mr. Le Anh Quan, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, offered incense at the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site.

The Bach Dang Giang Relic Site is located in the scenic complex Trang Kenh by the Bach Dang River; was recognized by the State in 1962. That place had been marked with merit of His Holiness Ngo Quyen, Emperor Le Dai Hanh, and National Hero Quoc Cong Hung Dao Great King Tran Quoc Tuan, who had led Dai Viet’s army and people defeating Southern Han Army in 938, Song Dynasty’s Army in 981, and Yuan’s Army in 1288, building up the Bach Dang Miracle “Three times enemies came – Three times enemies were defeated”. On January 02^nd 2021, the Bach Dang Giang Relic Site was received the National Historical Relic Ranking Certificate that shows the deep gratitude of the today’s generations for the national heroes who have made great contributions in the battles on the Bach Dang River, affirming Vietnamese people’s potentials and wisdom, and outstanding values of the Bach Dang River battles to history of Vietnam and the world. Currently, historic scientists have continued researching and adding values towards proposal submission to UNESCO for its recognition of the victory relic complex on Bach Dang River as a world’s cultural heritage.

The Bach Dang Giang Relic Site is a prideof the Party Committee and people of Hai Phong city in particular and of whole country in general. The Bach Dang Giang Relic Site construction was to honor ancestors, memorizing victories of grandfathers and fathers in the cause of building and defending the country, contributing to promote the nation’s traditional historical values, educating generations on national tradition.
