On the afternoon of April 25, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Minh Cuong attended the Handover Ceremony of Tugboat Tan Cang 99 at Damen Cam River Shipbuilding Company. That was the first ship to be built by Damen Cam River Shipbuilding Company handed over to a Vietnamese customer, Tan Cang Maritime Service Joint Stock Company. The ceremony had the attendance of Netherlands’ state officials: Ms. Haneke Schuiling, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of external economic affairs; Ms. Elsbeth Akkerman, Ambassador of Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam; as well as leaders of the city’s relevant departments.
Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Minh Cuong expressed his pleasure to welcome Ms. Haneke Schuiling and the delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ Embassy to Hai Phong City. The Vice Chairman honored the cooperation between Hai Phong City and Dutch partners, and expected that the both sides would get more cooperative activities in other fields in the coming time.
The Vice Chairman underlined that the tugboat Tan Cang 99 would help the Tan Cang Maritime Service Joint Stock Company to achieve international maritime standards, contributing to build up “green port” in the future commensurate with the city’s development policies./.
