In 2024, the number of passengers passing through the port exceeded the design capacity of Passenger Terminal T1 (2 million passengers/year). Therefore, it is extremely necessary to continue investing in the construction of new works and projects at Cat Bi International Airport. One of the items that ACV is interested in investing in is the Project to expand the aircraft parking area phase 2 - Cat Bi International Airport, with a total investment of 1,151 billion VND, built on an area of 13.68 hectares, including 2 phases.  In the coming time, the project to expand the aircraft parking lot and the project to build Passenger Terminal T2 after completion and operation together with the cargo terminal project with a capacity of 100 thousand tons/year will create synchronization in aviation service exploitation infrastructure, provide high-quality aviation services, meet international standards, enhance the competitiveness of the Vietnamese aviation industry in the international arena, contributing to the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city and the region.
