On the afternoon of May 29, the National Championship of Lion and Dragon Performance in the year of 2022 co-hosted by the Department of Sports of Ministry of Culture and Sport and the City Department of Culture and Sports was officially closed.
This tournament gathered 17 clubs from 11 provinces and cities across the country with around 190 athletes attending to contents: exercises on apricot wood poles, hopscotches of Lion and Dragon performance without reaping rewards, self-composed pole dance, nine-piece dragon dance, on-ground lion dance. The clubs attended the competition and followed Lion and Dragon Competition Rules issued by the Department of Sports in 2013.
After 03 days of competition, in the cheers of Hai Phong City’s audience cheers, the clubs dedicated unique lion and dragon performances. The first, second and third prizes were awarded to excellent clubs in each content.
The Championship has contributed to encouraging the practice of Lion and Dragon performance, preserving and developing traditional culture and sports of the nation, enhancing exchanges and solidarity among fans of Lion and Dragon performance at the nationwide./.
