Despite complex global fluctuations and domestic economic challenges over the past year, Hai Phong’s socio-economic situation remained stable and continued to develop. The city’s business community has persevered through difficulties and grown stronger. To date, more than 23,000 enterprises are operating in Hai Phong, including over 3,300 newly established businesses, representing a 5.3% increase compared to the previous year. Several enterprises are ranked among Vietnam’s Top 500 largest companies, such as Hai Phong Port, Tien Phong Plastic, Vinfast, Viet Phat, Dinh Vu Port, LG, and Hoang Huy Group. Besides their significant financial contributions, enterprises have actively invested in expanding production and business operations, especially projects with high technological content. They have also engaged in community activities and social welfare support, such as building gratitude houses, assisting families of merit and poor households, supporting the city’s recovery from Typhoon No. 3 (YAGI), and sponsoring fireworks displays during the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival and Lunar New Year celebrations. Notable contributors include Vingroup, Sao Do Group, and Hoang Huy Group.

Recognizing and highly appreciating the substantial contributions of domestic and foreign business communities, the Deputy Chairman commended the spirit of responsibility demonstrated by departments, agencies, and localities in facilitating favorable conditions, promptly listening to and resolving legitimate difficulties and proposals raised by enterprises. He also proposed honoring exemplary entrepreneurs, outstanding businesses, and individuals who excel in production and business, and comply well with the policies of the Party and State.

As the pioneering force in the city’s economic development, the city leadership is confident that Hai Phong’s business community and entrepreneurs will continue to build on their achievements, actively contributing to the city’s socio-economic targets and creating breakthrough milestones in the city’s innovation and development process in 2025 and beyond.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Deputy Chairman extended wishes to entrepreneurs and international guests for a prosperous, happy, and successful new year.

At this event, the city awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the People’s Committee to 77 outstanding enterprises and 2 exemplary international organizations for their excellent achievements and active contributions to Hai Phong’s socio-economic development in 2024.
