(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 16, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of the City People's Committee chaired the meeting and answered the questions of households doing business at Sat Market based on the collected opinions and the recommendations of the City Citizen Reception Committee, The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities.

According to the summary of the City Citizen Reception Committee, the household’s requests focused on the following contents: propose the City to build a new market and business place equivalent to or better than Sat market; require a stable and suitable location before relocating market stalls; more details about the plan on building a temporary market at No. 20 Truong Chinh Street, Kien An District; protect legal rights of households with adequate compensation before relocation; some contents related to moving timeline, rental contracts with the enterprise in Sat market.

After listening to households’ opinions and those of relevant departments, branches and localities’ leaders, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung expressed his sympathy towards all difficulties of the business households when moving to temporary market while waiting for construction of a new Sat market, in which he also emphasized that moving to a new place was to support the City to deploy the project of a complex of commercial and entertainment centers, , 5-star hotels and rental offices for urban embellishment in the area.

Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that households soon relocate and hand over construction site before March 15, 2022, the City would transfer budget to Hai Thanh Joint Venture Company to support moving expenses of 5 million VND for each kiosk, support households to stabilize at new business places at No.20 Truong Chinh Street (Kien An District) temporary market with 5 million VND per kiosk. The City would reward each business households relocating before March 15, 2022 with 15 million VND. Business households at front positions of Sat market would be distributed stall of the same front spot when moving to a new market in time as regulatedotherwise they would be relocated to the inner stalls. The City would equip proper facilities at the new market to ensure adequate business conditions...
Chairman of the City People's Committee hoped that business households would agree to move to the new market and support the city in implementing the project of urban embellishment, contributing to develop Hai Phong into a more civilized and modern city with growth in the coming time.
