On the morning of January 4, the City People's Committee organized a conference to implement the Resolutions of the City Party Committee, the City People's Council on the tasks of socio-economic development, defense and security in 2023.
The conference was attended by Mrs. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the State, First Vice President of the Central Council of Emulation and Commendation; leaders of central ministries, departments and branches. As for the city, there were: Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong Delegation of the National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, Chairman of the City Council of Emulation and Commendation (the conference’s host); Mr. Pham Van Lap - Member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Chairman of the City People's Council; together with members of the City Party Committee;s Standing Board, Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee, Vice Chairmen of the City People's Council, representatives of departments, branches, localities and units.
At the Conference, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented the Government's Emulation Flag to Hai Phong City - the leading locality in the emulation cluster of 5 cities under the Central Government in 2021; awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to Hai Phong City Inspector for outstanding achievements in the period of 2017-2021. Director of Department of Home Affairs announced the assessment results of the administrative reform index of the City in 2022.
At the conference, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee announced the City People's Committee’s decisions on the city 2023 socio-economic development targets, including: The total revenue is 116,442 billion VND, in which the domestic revenue is 42,500 billion VND, the import and export revenue is 69,000 billion VND, the growth rate is from 12.7 to 13%, the GRDP per capita is 8,150 USD/person/year.
In order to continuously develop the City at a rapid pace, successfully implement the goals and tasks mentioned in the City’s resolutions, the City People's Committee developed 5 key priorities of 11 main groups of tasks and solutions. Accordingly, the City continuously accelerates the growth reform models in line with the development of 3 main sectors: high-tech industry, seaport - logistics, tourism - trade; tighten the discipline of budget revenue and expenditure; improve the business investment environment; promote the development of economic sectors; focus on implementing the 2023 theme "Promoting urban embellishment and modernization - Building model new rural areas - Implementing digital transformation"; strive to complete and exceed the city's socio-economic development targets in 2023.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements in 2022. At the same time, he also pointed out 15 specific tasks that required close attention from the beginning of 2023 such as: continuing to closely follow and submit to the Prime Minister the adjustment project of Hai Phong City Master Plan to 2040, with a vision to 2050; adjusting the general planning of Economic Zone; implementing key projectsincluding the city's Political - Administrative Center; completing the procedures for the construction project of the Convention and Performance Center; renovating the sidewalks of some roads; building new exemplary countryside; increasing the revenues from land…/.
