On the morning of June 14, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee monitored and listened to report on results of implementing Resolution no. 05/2021/NQ-HDND of the City People’s Council dated 12/8/2021 on regulations supporting the dismantling of aquaculture facilities in the bay of Cat Ba Archipelago of Cat Hai Island District.
After monitoring, the Vice Chairman requested Cat Hai Island District to drastically direct and launch a detailed plan to speed up the progress. To cope with difficulties in aquacultural products consumption, the island district needs to identify volume of consumption, do calculation specifically, and keep working with enterprises. Meanwhile, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development works with Cat Hai Island District to strengthen link for aquacultural products consumption, design appropriate cages size with safety devices. Regarding progress of ground clearance in Cat Hai – Cat Ba cross-island route expanding investment Project implementation through residential area of Phu Long commune, Cat Hai Rural District needs to complete by June 14. That goes along with dismantling business aquacultural cages and aquaculture on the bay by June 16.
According to Cat Hai Island District People’s Committee, regarding the ground clearance progress, the rural district completed reimbursement for 215 cases (achieving 100%). For the business aquacultural cages and aquaculture dismantlement, the rural district managed to move 165 boats to Tran Chau Fishing Port and to dismantle 16 aquacultural units and 12 per 14 business aquacultural cages./.
