(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of March 2, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong chaired a meeting in Cat Hai District on implementing digital transformation in the district area in 2022. Attending the meeting, there were leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
Chairman of Cat Hai District People's Committee Mr. Bui Tuan Manh reported on the implementation of digital transformation in Cat Hai District.
Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of Cat Hai District People's Committee Mr. Bui Tuan Manh said that, in the past time, Cat Hai District has actively paid attention, invested and applied information technology in direction, administration and management activities, in which, the District has focused on developing digital infrastructure in some fields such as Health, Education, Tourism... and achieved certain results.
Representatives of the city's departments and agencies attended the meeting.
However, in the implementation process, the District still faces many limitations and difficulties in terms of human resources; some businesses and people are not fully aware of important role of information technology and digital transformation; information technology infrastructure has not been synchronously invested, leading to difficulties in connection; financial resources for information technology applications have many limitations…
Mr. Le Thuy - Deputy Director of Center for Information - Informatics, Office of the City People's Committee gave a speech at the meeting.
Cat Hai District proposed the City, in coming time, direct telecommunications businesses to continuously create favorable conditions and prioritize investment in building and upgrading 5G mobile communication services, adding more transceiver stations in the district area; arrange human resources to support the District in implementing digital transformation; have financial support mechanism for the District to implement some key tasks on digital transformation …

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong acknowledged and appreciated efforts of Cat Hai District in the process of implementing digital transformation in the area. According to Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong, in order to help the digital transformation roadmap of Cat Hai District to quickly take place and accelerate the process of socio-economic development, for the first matter, the District must have cognitive consensus in the action program, revolving around people and businesses. Along with that, Cat Hai District has to focus efforts, create practical benefits for people and businesses in handling administrative procedures; create digital databases and applications in handling administrative procedures.
Referring to tasks that need to be done in the coming time, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that Cat Hai District should focus on promoting digital transformation in some specific areas, such as: developing e-commerce to promote specialty products of Cat Ba; coordinating with functional branches: land and cadastral database, planning and construction permit; applying digital transformation in direction, administration, management activities... About building a smart operating center of Cat Hai District, the Vice Chairman supported the ideal and suggested that Cat Hai District should consider and select necessary smart applications for implementation.
