On the afternoon of October 03, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organized Conference on Reviewing Scitech Program for 2016 – 2021 New Rural Development; discussing key targets in the 2021 – 2025 period hosted by Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and other leaders of relevant Central Departments and agencies. In Hai Phong, Director of Agriculture and Rural Development Department Do Gia Khanh and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and units attended the online Conference.
The Scitech Program for New Rural Development had made remarkable contribution to legal and practical foundation for agricultural development which was referenced and utilized by the Party and State to issue directions and important resolutions in “Tam Nong (Agriculture – Farmer – Rural Area” development. Besides, the Program had contributed to shaping the mechanism system and solutions for new rural construction; boosting agricultural restructure and growth; new rural standards realization.
Mr. Le Minh Hoan emphasized the need to conduct scitech research and application for new rural development simultaneously to successfully shift agricultural manufacturing mindset to agricultural economy one, in which each research topic should convey economic characteristics, attached with the market and inputs cost; transforming from singular value to integrated multi value on agricultural products, dissemninating knowledge to farmers, thereby optimizing the manufacturing process for productivity, quality and competitiveness of each agricultural item, creating new resilience for agriculture and rural areas./.
