On the afternoon of March 22, at Alpha School Hai Phong, the Department of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam, the Department of Education and Training, Viet Tinh Anh LEGO Education Joint Stock Company, and Success International Education Investment and Development Co., Ltd., organized the Award Ceremony of the ROBOTACON First Lego League Hai Phong 2026. The event was attended by representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and partner organizations, along with a large number of teachers, parents, and students participating in the competition.
The year 2026 marks the second time the ROBOTACON First Lego League has been held in Hai Phong, continuing to affirm the city’s strong commitment to promoting STEM education, fostering innovation, and enhancing international integration in the field of education.
After more than two months of launch, this year’s final round attracted 65 teams with a total of 438 students from primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools across the city. Among them, the Explore category (for primary school students) included 48 teams with 277 participants, while the Challenge category (for lower and upper secondary students) featured 17 teams with 161 participants.
The theme of this year’s competition is “UNEARTHED” – the global theme of the First Lego League 2025–2026 season. Through this theme, participating teams took on the roles of archaeologists and geotechnical engineers, exploring hidden secrets beneath the ground while proposing technological solutions for heritage preservation, sustainable resource utilization, and environmental protection. The theme also enabled students to engage with knowledge in science, technology, geology, and history, thereby enhancing awareness of heritage and natural resource conservation, and fostering sustainable thinking as well as global integration competencies.
