On the morning of May 10, Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated with Hai Phong City to organize the Ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize Hai Phong Station as a "Tourist Destination" and to launch the Red Flamboyant Train. This is one of the events to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) - Heroic City and respond to the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025.

The train consists of 20 brand new carriages, designed with the main red color of the Royal Poinciana, the symbol of Hai Phong city. The interior of the carriages is modernly designed, with luxurious interior space, in harmony with the diverse history of architectural and cultural exchange of the Port city. In particular, two special highlight carriages are designed in the Indochinese style.
With the aim of meeting the increasing demands of passengers, Vietnam Railways Corporation has comprehensively renovated and upgraded passenger cars with modern amenities such as semi-automatic doors, LED screens, free wifi, etc.
Hai Phong Station was built in 1902 and is one of the oldest and most historically valuable stations in the railway industry. Here, on October 21, 1946, the train departed to bring President Ho Chi Minh back to the capital Hanoi after attending the Fontainebleau conference in France. Since then, October 21 has become the Traditional Day of Vietnam Railways.
With its unique ancient French architecture, Hai Phong Station is not only a transportation transit point but also a work with deep historical, cultural and artistic values associated with the formation and development of the Port City, attracting tourists to visit and check in.
